Airports

The New Bedford Regional Airport is a small commuter and cargo transportation airport serving the region.

Public Bus Services and Regional Transit Authorities

The Southeastern Regional Transit Authority provides bus service to the greater New Bedford area, including service to the Towns of Fairhaven and Dartmouth. The Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) offers service includes the Town of Wareham, and includes an Onset Wareham Links (OWL) route which connects to the Peter Pan / Bonanza bus service at the Bourne Rotary. The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Bus Service (The Breeze) provides bus service along Route 28 between Woods Hole and the outer Cape.

Ferry Service

The New England Fast Ferry Co. offers a high-speed ferry service between New Bedford and Marthas Vineyard (A on map). In the summer of 2007, the company began testing a service between the City of New Bedford and Woods Hole village in the Town of Falmouth (A on map, read the newspaper article). Passenger service between the two locations was abandoned in 1961. The Steamship Authority has also considered restoring the service for transporting freight.

The Cuttyhunk Ferry Company operates a small ferry between the City of New Bedford and the island village of Cuttyhunk (B on map). Hyline Ferries provides Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod Canal sightseeing and dinner cruises that departs from Onset Bay in the Town of Wareham (C on map).
